Tropicana Evansville is in the final stage of its rebrand.

The casino is temporarily shutting its doors while it makes its official change to become “Bally’s Casino Evansville.”

Gamblers won’t be able to visit the casino today, but the property will reopen tomorrow under the new name.

Bally’s takes over Tropicana Evansville

Bally’s has been working hard to grow its brand recognition throughout Indiana.

That started when the company bought Tropicana from Caesars Entertainment last year. Bally’s finalized that $140 million deal earlier this summer.

The purchase puts Bally’s in a great position to compete in southern Indiana. Evansville is right on the state line with Kentucky, giving the casino a chance to draw in customers from both states.

Bally’s has continued its expansion since the Tropicana purchase. It was a great way to make a splash in Indiana, but the brand didn’t stop there.

Bally’s also purchased the regional FOX Sports networks earlier this year. That included FOX Sports Indiana.

The channel broadcasts Indiana Pacers games, so it was likely the first real exposure that many Hoosiers had with the Bally’s name.

In addition to this, Bally Bet Sportsbook will be launching in Indiana soon, which is yet another step in the company’s plan for the state.

Gamblers will have a brand-new Indiana legal betting app to pick from before long.

When Bally Bet opens for business, it will be the state’s 13th online sportsbook.

Bally Bet recently received its temporary vendor license from the Indiana Gaming Commission.

With a license in hand, the sportsbook is knocking on the door of its official Indiana launch. The company’s first day taking wagers could come at any time now.

Bally Bet is already up and running in Colorado and Iowa, so Indiana will be the sportsbook’s third market.

Bally’s Casino Evansville will also feature a new retail sportsbook as part of its rebrand.

The casino’s new “Bally’s Sports Bar and Grill” will feature all of the sports betting action from Bally Bet combined with a restaurant environment for Hoosiers to try out. That isn’t a new feature for casinos in Indiana, but it is a changeup for things at Tropicana Evansville.

Before long, regulars at the casino will start to notice the Bally’s branding on poker chips, dice, and playing cards at the property.

That all begins when the casino reopens with its new name on Oct. 13.
