Tipico Sportsbook is officially on its way to Indiana.

The company just signed a new 10-year deal with Caesars Entertainment. That partnership will give Tipico the market access it needs in the Hoosier State.

Tipico Sportsbook plans to open for business in the state by early 2022.

Tipico Sportsbook partners with Hoosier Park in Indiana

Online sports betting apps have to sign a partnership with a retail casino in Indiana before they can start taking bets.

Since Tipico is working with Caesars, the sportsbook is shacking up with one of the company’s three properties in the state. The duo eventually landed on Harrah’s Hoosier Park to become the sportsbook’s Indiana partner.

Caesars has spent the last few months lining up online sportsbook deals for Hoosier Park.

The company recently purchased William Hill and rebranded the betting app to Caesars Sportsbook.

However, William Hill’s betting license was tied to Tropicana Evansville, a casino that Caesars no longer owns.

For the sake of keeping everything in-house, Caesars moved the William Hill license to Hoosier Park. Add Tipico to the party, and that makes two online partnerships for the casino.

Caesars also has a deal in place to bring SI Sportsbook to Indiana.

The betting app’s casino partner? You guessed it, Harrah’s Hoosier Park.

It’s been a busy summer for the casino when it comes to lining up partnerships.

Indiana Grand Casino, on the other hand, is still without a single online partner. Caesars owns the property, so it’s likely next in line on the priority list after Hoosier Park is all set up.

Tipico and the IndyStar

Tipico Sportsbook might not be up and running in Indiana yet, but the company still has a presence throughout the state.

That’s thanks to Tipico’s deal with Gannett, which owns the Indianapolis Star.

If you’re a regular IndyStar reader, then you’ve probably noticed some Tipico content making its way into the sports section.

Gannett uses Tipico’s betting odds for its content now, so the company will be a regular part of the IndyStar’s coverage going forward.

It’s all about raising the company’s brand awareness in advance of the sportsbook’s Indiana launch. Tipico is planning for the Hoosier State’s future, and that includes more than just online sports betting.

Tipico preps for Indiana online casinos

At least for now, Indiana does not have legal online casinos. That takes games like online blackjack and poker off the table for gamblers.

Lawmakers took a stab at legalizing iGaming earlier this year, but ultimately fell short. The legislative push will start to pick up steam again in 2022.

If things go well this time, Tipico wants to be in position to take advantage.

The company’s deal with Caesars gives Tipico the market access it would need for certain online casino rights.

If legislation goes through next year, Tipico won’t have to scramble to find an iGaming partner in the Hoosier State. Everything will already be in place to start working towards a launch.
