Posted on September 8, 2020Last Updated on September 13, 2020

DraftKings Sportsbook is looking to make the most of the NFL’s return.

Just like every other Indiana online betting app, DraftKings is hoping to pull in as many NFL gamblers as possible.

That’s always the goal since football is the most popular betting sport in the US.

To get a jump on the start of the upcoming season, DraftKings is offering one of its “No-Brainer Bets” as a promotion.

Kansas City +101 No-Brainer from DraftKings

So how does the no-brainer bet work?

It basically acts as an odds boost for the first game of the NFL season.

The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Houston Texans in the first game on Sept. 1o.

The Chiefs are currently -9 favorites for the game, but the promotion takes things up a notch.

DraftKings will let you bet on the Chiefs at an insane +101. In other words, as long as Kansas City doesn’t lose by 102 points, you win!

With odds like that, DraftKings is basically giving out “free money” to anyone who wants it.

There’s a max bet of $50 with a -110 payout, so that max wager would net you a clean $45.50 in profit if you use the promotion.

The promo closes at 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, which is kickoff time for the game.

FanDuel and PointsBet similarities

DraftKings’ promotion is nearly identical to some of the moves that FanDuel and PointsBet have made in the past.

FanDuel frequently runs its “Spread The Love” promotions.

For Spread The Love, the more people who bet on a certain team, the more the spread moves in everyone’s favor.

For example, last season when FanDuel ran the promo on the Colts, the team started as +2.5 underdogs, but ended up at +118.5 by the time the game started.

PointsBet’s “Crowd Boosters” work the exact same way.

The sportsbook is currently running one of these for Indy’s first game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The spread moves for every 200 people who hop in on the promo.

The difference between those types of promotions and DraftKings’ No-Brainer is that you don’t have to wait for the bets to come in.

With DraftKings, you can skip the wait and take the Chiefs at +101 right away.

BetMGM Mahomes promo

The BetMGM online sportsbook is also looking to get in on the NFL action.

BetMGM’s new promotion is only for new users, but it’s still a great value for bettors who don’t have an account yet.

For this one, you’ll be betting on Patrick Mahomes to score at least one touchdown against Houston.

The reigning Super Bowl MVP put 26 touchdowns on the board last season, so the odds are in your favor for this one.

To make things even better, you only have to risk $1 for BetMGM’s promo.

If you sign up for the promo, you’ll turn that $1 into $100 if Mahomes scores a touchdown. That’s a nice opportunity to win some cash without a lot of risk.

If you opt in to the promo and win, your $100 will be paid out in bonus bets.
