How Long Can Pat McAfee’s Football Betting Win Streak Last?

How Long Can Pat McAfee’s Football Betting Win Streak Last?

Pat McAfee’s picks keep on winning!

The FanDuel personality makes weekly football betting picks throughout the NFL and college football seasons.

Last week went well for McAfee, who ended up going 6-4 for the weekend. That was his second-straight week with a winning record.

His hot streak continued into this past weekend as well.

Although McAfee lost most of his college football picks, he won the vast majority of his NFL bets. McAfee is still a winner overall, and hasn’t had a losing week yet this fall.

PlayIndiana is keeping track of McAfee’s record, so check back in every Monday to see if Pat’s Picks hit.

Pat McAfee’s NFL betting

The former Colts punter has been on fire since the start of the NFL season.

McAfee secured his third-straight winning week by going 6-2 with his NFL picks. His overall record for the NFL season is 10-5.

At least for now, betting with McAfee has been a profitable move.

McAfee announced his picks on The Pat McAfee Show last Friday.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Houston Texans

Pat’s Pick: Steelers -3.5

Pat’s Explanation:

“The Pittsburgh Steelers defensive line has caused more pressures than anybody else in the NFL right now. They’ve taken out a quarterback. They are a problem. They have a couple interceptions on that defensive line. I think there is a very solid chance we see Deshaun Watson running for his life.”

Final Score: Steelers 28, Texans 21

Did Pat Win? Yes

Las Vegas Raiders vs. New England Patriots

Pat’s Pick: Raiders +5.5, Patriots -240

Pat’s Explanation:

“This feels like a game that the Raiders will cover, but this feels like a game that the Patriots will ultimately end up winning in the end.”

Final Score: Patriots 36, Raiders 20

Did Pat Win? 1-1. Raiders +5.5 misses, Patriots -240 hits

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Denver Broncos

Pat’s Pick: Buccaneers -5.5

Pat’s Explanation:

“I think that team is starting to come together. I think the Broncos are starting to go the opposite direction due to injuries, which is a shame. Jeff Driskel looked a lot better than I thought he was going to look when he got in the game. I like Tampa Bay -5.5 here in Denver, but Tom Brady has had mixed reviews in Denver.”

Final Score: Buccaneers 28, Broncos 10

Did Pat Win? Yes

Seattle Seahawks vs. Dallas Cowboys

Pat’s Pick: Seahawks -5

Pat’s Explanation:

“I like Seattle -5 here. I’m not hammering it, but I like it.”

Final Score: Seahawks 38, Cowboys 31

Did Pat Win? Yes

Detroit Lions vs. Arizona Cardinals

Pat’s Pick: Cardinals -5.5

Pat’s Explanation:

“I think everybody and their mom here likes the Arizona Cardinals -5.5. I would assume the money is leaning that way and the bets are leaning that way…Last year these two teams tied. These two teams have gone very different directions since then.”

Final Score: Lions 26, Cardinals 23

Did Pat Win? No

Green Bay Packers vs. New Orleans Saints

Pat’s Pick: Packers +3, Packers +138

Pat’s Explanation:

“I think you take Green Bay Packers +3 and moneyline down here in New Orleans, and I think you feel very very good about it. Now the only issue is, is the Green Bay Packers’ defense going to be able to stop Drew Brees and Alvin Kamara and that offense?”

Final Score: Packers 37, Saints 30

Did Pat Win? 2-0. Both bets won.

Pat McAfee College GameDay picks

In addition to his NFL picks, McAfee announces his college football picks every Saturday on College GameDay.

This week was his first losing week of the college season after a hot start.

McAfee’s picks went 1-2 over the weekend, which brought his overall college record to 5-4.

West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys

Pat’s Pick: West Virginia +7.5

Pat’s Explanation:

“West Virginia +7.5 is lock number one against Oklahoma State. Let me tell you why. Last November, whenever Oklahoma State traveled to Morgantown West Virginia and played against West Virginia, they had a close game going into the fourth quarter and Oklahoma State opened up a 10-point run. Ended up winning by 7. They were both playing their best football. I think since then, the West Virginia Mountaineers have only gotten better.”

Final Score: Oklahoma State 27, West Virginia 13

Did Pat Win? No

BYU Cougars vs. Troy Trojans

Pats Pick: BYU -14.5

Final Score: BYU 48, Troy 7

Did Pat Win? Yes

Georgia Southern Eagles vs. Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns

Pats Pick: Louisiana-Lafayette -12.5

Final Score: Louisianna-Lafayette 20, Georgia Southern 18

Did Pat Win? No

Overall record

McAfee’s record is sitting at 15-9 between his NFL and college football picks.

So overall, if you’ve been taking Pat’s Picks every week you’ve been coming out a winner.

His college winning streak may have ended after two weeks, but his NFL streak lives on.

Since most of McAfee’s weekly picks are on the NFL, Week 4 will largely determine if he can continue his winning ways.

A bad week could drag his betting record closer to even, or a winning week could act as a nice cushion for future bets.

There’s no way to know until the weekend, so check back in with PlayIndiana on Monday to see how things turned out.
