Indiana Sportsbooks Launch Free-To-Play Brackets With Millions Up For Grabs
It wouldn’t be March Madness without brackets.
Americans fill out tens of millions of brackets every year in pursuit of the first flawless one.
The tradition is part of the March Madness fun, and Indiana online sportsbooks are looking to make the most of it.
With sportsbooks releasing special free-to-play games and bracket contests, basketball fans have more tournament options this year than ever before.
DraftKings $1 million March Mania survivor pool
The biggest free-to-play pool from DraftKings has $1 million up for grabs.
The “March Mania Survivor Pool” will have users pick one team for each day of the tournament.
If the team you pick wins its game, then congratulations, you get to move on to the next day. If your pick ends up losing, then your time in the survivor pool is over.
The goal here is to make a winning pick every single day to advance.
Things will change in the Elite Eight, since you’ll be picking one team to win for the entire round, rather than just one team to win that first day.
The last person standing takes home the $1 million.
Unless of course, there are multiple players still in the pool at the end of the tournament. In that case, DraftKings will split the prize between whoever is left.
In addition to the $1 million grand prize, DraftKings will be paying out some extra prizes along the way. For every upset in the tournament, DraftKings will give one random pool player $10,000.
There’s a lot of money up for grabs in this March Mania Pool, so sign up for DraftKings to throw your hat in the ring.
DraftKings $50,000 Yuengling Bracket Battle
Yuengling just signed a brand new deal with DraftKings.
The partnership marks the company’s first-ever deal with a gambling operator.
To celebrate the new partnership, DraftKings has a Yuengling-sponsored free-to-play pool on the board for March Madness.
The “Bracket Battle” tasks players with picking the winners across 63 games of the March Madness tournament.
You’ll win points for every correct pick you make in the bracket. The player with the most points at the end of the tournament wins.
Here’s a look how many points a correct pick will earn you in each round of the tournament:
- Round of 64: 10 points
- Round of 32: 20 points
- Sweet Sixteen: 40 points
- Elite Eight: 80 points
- Final Four: 160 points
- Championship: 320 points
The contest will lock once the first March Madness game on March 19 starts, so get your picks in soon.
BetMGM $2 million perfect bracket challenge
BetMGM sportsbook has its own March Madness bracket challenge available.
However, it’s a lot tougher than the other options out there.
If you’re feeling lucky, then you can enter into BetMGM’s bracket contest for a shot at $2 million.
You’ll have to submit a perfect bracket in order to claim that prize money. That’s never been done before, so that $2 million will likely go unclaimed.
However, it’s not a perfect or bust situation for this bracket contest. The best bracket will still win $100,000.
Your bracket will rack up one point for every game that you successfully pick throughout the tournament.
When the dust settles, the top bracket will take home that $100,000, unless someone manages to claim the $2 million instead.
It will be a tough contest to win, but you have nothing to lose since it’s free-to-play.
