Indy Eleven Soccer Scores Sports Betting Partnership With BetRivers

Posted on May 7, 2021

Indy Eleven is the latest local team to snag a sportsbook partnership.

BetRivers is now the club’s “Official Sports Betting Partner.”

The partnership is a new move for the team that will shake up the soccer scene in Indiana.

Indy Eleven BetRivers partnership

The Colts, Pacers and the Indy 500 are probably the first things that come to mind when you think about Indianapolis sports.

However, Indy Eleven has managed to capture the attention of sports fans around the city in recent years.

So much so that a $550 million “Eleven Park” project is underway to create a 20,000 seat stadium for the team.

Now, Indy Eleven is looking for new ways to engage with its fanbase.

Getting in on the sports betting bonanza is the club’s latest way of doing exactly that.

Indy Eleven’s partnership with BetRivers will put online sports betting front and center.

The BetRivers logo will be visible on the sleeves of player jerseys this season.

The sportsbook is also sponsoring the team’s post-game show on local television, as well as the weekly Soccer Saturday radio show.

According to Indy Eleven President Greg Stremlaw, the club has been looking for a sportsbook partner for some time.

“Since the legalization of sports betting in Indiana in late 2019, Indy Eleven has been extremely focused on finding a true partner to maximize what has become a pivotal area for growth in all corners of the sports industry.”

All things considered, BetRivers Indiana should be a solid sportsbook partner for the team. The company has been all-in on Indiana sports betting from the start.

Rush Street Interactive’s Indiana presence

The first Indiana online sports betting apps opened for business on Oct. 3, 2019.

BetRivers and DraftKings Sporstbook were the first two that started taking wagers on day one.

Chicago-based Rush Street Interactive is the parent company of BetRivers.

Rush Street made Indiana’s launch a priority for the company.

Since then, BetRivers has become a popular sportsbook throughout the state.

Indiana’s March sports betting handle included over $9 million worth of wagers from the brand.

That made the company the state’s fifth-most popular betting app, putting it right in the middle of the pack.

BetRivers is trying to spread its Indiana presence with this Indy Eleven deal.

The club and the sportsbook are both fairly new to the Hoosier State, but they’re hoping to grow their popularity together over time.

Other sports teams in Indiana are trying to do the same.

Colts and Pacers have sportsbook partners

Indy Eleven isn’t the only Indianapolis team to ink a deal with a sportsbook.

Other brands have also been quick to jump into partnerships.

For example, William Hill made its Indiana debut back in October 2020.

The company immediately put together a deal to become an official sports betting partner of the Indianapolis Colts.

The Indiana Pacers took a similar route when the team signed PointsBet as an official partner.

That was great news for gamblers that like to bet on the Pacers, since the sportsbook now offers exclusive promotions that center around the team.

So even though the BetRivers deal is new for Indy Eleven, it isn’t anything new for professional sports teams in general.

These types of deals have become common around the country as sportsbooks look for new ways to edge out their rivals in an increasingly competitive industry.
