Indiana Sports Betting Odds: Colts Up, Irish Down And Hoosiers Picked To Roll This Week
After the Indianapolis Colts snagged an important road win over the Tennessee Titans, sportsbooks expect them to build on their momentum. Books also predict a big win for Indiana but a rough week for Notre Dame in the latest Indiana football odds.
For teams around the Hoosier State, the games of Sept. 20-23 are a mixed bag. Taking a deeper look at all games relevant to Indiana sports betting reveals some opportunities.
This week’s football odds from Indiana sportsbooks
While Purdue is off this week, the Notre Dame and Indiana are in action.
The Indiana Hoosiers football team hosts UConn in a non-conference affair while Notre Dame travels to take on third-ranked Georgia.
The Hoosiers are a heavy favorite to recover from last week’s drubbing by the Ohio State Buckeyes. Books that have a consensus on Indiana being a +27 favorite include:
- BetRivers
- Caesars
- FanDuel
- William Hill
The consensus on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish is just as consistent but in the opposite direction. All the books mentioned above have Notre Dame as a 14-point underdog to the Bulldogs on Saturday.
Turning to the NFL betting odds, there’s a bit more discrepancy when it comes to the Indianapolis Colts. Books have Indianapolis favored to win but by small margins, ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 points.
While there aren’t any positive odds to be found in those spreads or on moneyline bets on the Colts, there are some opportunities elsewhere. Alternate spread bets and parlays could pay off.
Indiana sports betting: The Colts, Hoosiers and Irish
William Hill, the operator that runs the sportsbook at Tropicana Evansville, is offering odds of +440 on the Colts scoring four touchdowns at home against the Falcons. Atlanta is next-to-last in the NFL in turnovers committed and 16th against the run.
FanDuel Sportsbook, the odds for which are available at both the Belterra and Blue Chip casinos, has a parlay of taking Indianapolis to win and the total under 46.5 points that pays out +310. The Falcons have averaged 16 points per game so far while the Colts have averaged 21.5.
Rivers Sportsbook, which sets the Indiana football odds at the French Lick Resort, has an attractive line on Indianapolis sticking to that average. Parlaying the Colts winning but scoring fewer than 24.5 points pays out +460.
There are a couple of alternate spread bets on the Hoosiers available at FanDuel. If bettors really like Indiana to win big this week, taking them +33 pays out +215.
The top moneyline bet on the Irish this week is at William Hill, which currently sits at +500. Other than moneylines, there aren’t many opportunities to make money on Notre Dame this week.
The same can be said for some of the teams in the surrounding states. It’s a good week to wager on some of them.
Illinois, Michigan and Ohio college team odds
The team that trounced the Hoosiers on their home field last week is an even bigger favorite on Saturday. Ohio State is -39 at home against Miami (Ohio). If you’re willing to take the Buckeyes -45, however, FanDuel will pay out +230.
Michigan hits the conference trail as an underdog against Big Ten West contender Wisconsin. William Hill has the most generous moneyline on the Wolverines at +150.
The Spartans of Michigan State and the Wildcats of Northwestern meet in Evanston on Saturday. Michigan State is a 9.5-point favorite, with the best moneyline on Northwestern again offered by William Hill at +320.
Bettors who take the Spartans -15.5 at FanDuel get odds of +210. FanDuel also offers two alternate point totals that payout identical +240 odds. Under 32 points or over 46 payout the same.
Staying in Illinois, books are split on the Fighting Illini’s Big Ten contest against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Illinois spreads, moneylines and point totals at the four books already mentioned are:
- BetRivers: +11.5 -110 +360 64 O -110/U -110
- Caesars: +13 -110 +375 63 O -110/U -110
- FanDuel: + 13 -110 +370 63.5 O -110/U -110
- William Hill: -13.5 -110 -550 63.5 O -110/U -110
Illinois, Michigan and Ohio professional team odds
Staying in the Land of Lincoln, the Chicago Bears travel to Washington this Monday night. Books have Chicago a consensus four-point favorite but taking the Bears to win by at least 14 points pays out +240 on FanDuel.
Both the Cincinnati Bengals and Detroit Lions are also on the road this week. Cincinnati is a six-point underdog to the Buffalo Bills while Detroit is a 6.5-point dog at the Philadelphia Eagles’ home venue.
BetRivers has some attractive alternate spreads on both of those games. That includes +525 on the Bengals -7.5 and +460 on the Lions -6.5.
This weekend’s football games present opportunities to clean up if things go right. This is probably the most diverse week yet for college and professional odds relevant to the Hoosier State.
