Colts Score Two New Partnerships With WynnBET And Caesars
The Indianapolis Colts just struck a pair of new deals with Caesars Entertainment and Wynn Resorts.
Caesars Sportsbook is now an official sports betting partner and WynnBET is now an official sportsbook partner of the Colts.
The partnerships include more than just some logo sharing between the brands.
This isn’t Indy’s first time teaming up with a sportsbook, but Caesars and WynnBET are getting something that their competitors aren’t: their own sports betting areas within Lucas Oil Stadium.
Caesars betting lounge at Lucas Oil Stadium
The new “Caesars Sportsbook Lounge” will open up in the former Blue Room at Lucas Oil.
The sports betting area has been a long time coming for the team.
About a year and a half ago, the NFL finally gave betting lounges the green light. The Colts have been working on finding the right deal since then.
Chris Holdren, the co-president of Caesars Digital, says that Indiana is a priority for Caesars.
“Indiana has been a special place for our company, and we know how passionate these great sports fans are for their home team. Caesars will continue to push for innovation to bring the best in sports experiences, both in-person and on mobile, to the Hoosier State through Caesars Sportsbook and our partnership with the NFL.”
The Caesars Lounge will use LED screens to display the latest Colts betting odds.
However, it’s important to note that this is a betting-friendly area, not an entire sportsbook. There won’t be a physical counter that you can walk up to and place a bet at.
The idea is to make it easier for Colts fans to try out online sportsbooks. Since Caesars is the sponsor, the company will have workers available to help Hoosiers download and try Caesars Sportsbook.
All things considered, this is a big win for Caesars in Indiana.
WynnBET Club at Lucas Oil Stadium
Caesars is staking claim to a part of Lucas Oil Stadium, but so is WynnBET.
The West Club at the stadium is being renamed to the “WynnBET Club” as part of the sportsbook’s new deal with the team. If you’re not familiar with the location, you can find the spot in the upstairs club level.
The area will basically act as a sports bar for fans who are of gambling age.
WynnBET Indiana will also be putting together a lounge at the team’s tailgating area. Fans can win prizes in the Touchdown Zone, and the area will include “appearances from Colts Legends and WynnBET brand ambassadors.”
The company is adding former Colt Robert Mathis as a brand ambassador, potentially putting the Pro Bowler on the list for those tailgate appearances.
To top things off, WynnBET is now the presenting sponsor of the Official Colts Podcast.
Between a sports bar, tailgating, and sponsorships, WynnBET will be engaging Colts fans from multiple different angles.
The company already has a deal with the Cincinnati Reds, so Wynn is striking at the hearts of sports fans around Indiana.
Colts also work with FanDuel, previously PointsBet
Sports betting is a competitive industry, and every company is looking for a new angle to help attract gamblers.
Caesars and Wynn are the new kids in town when it comes to a Colts partnership. FanDuel is already working with the team.
For FanDuel, getting creative meant offering site credit to fans that purchase Colts tickets.
PointsBet worked with the Colts last season and took a media route by sponsoring the team’s pregame show.
With Caesars’ betting lounge and WynnBET’s three-pronged approach, every sportsbook has a unique strategy for captivating Colts fans.
Selling multiple partnerships also helps the team cover all its bases.
The Caesars deal even includes renaming the south gate at Lucas Oil to “Caesars South Gate.”
Everything is for sale in theory, and the Colts are certainly trying to make the most out of Indiana’s love for sports betting.
Caesars Sportsbook has only been live in Indiana for just over a month, and it’s already become the fourth-most popular betting app in the Hoosier State. With a Colts partnership in tow, its market share could grow even larger in the future.
WynnBET hasn’t quite found that level of popularity yet, but signing a deal with the state’s most popular team should only help with the company’s brand recognition.
