Colts Training Camp Will Have No COVID Restrictions
Training camp for the Indianapolis Colts is right around the corner.
Things will get underway on July 28 at Grand Park in Westfield. Fans will be able to attend camp free of charge.
Colts training camp details
Training camp is the first chance for fans to get a glimpse at Indy’s roster.
Camp activities will take place until Aug. 19, so there are plenty of options to see the team in action.
Admission to training camp is completely free, but fans will have to secure tickets online.
If you’re heading to Westfield for training camp, then you’ll be able to enjoy the festivities without any pandemic restrictions. No masks, capacity limits, or screening requirements will be in place.
There will also be a mask-required section available at events for high-risk individuals that don’t want to miss out on the fun.
The Colts will have joint practices with the Carolina Panthers that will be open to the public. Those practices will take place on Aug. 12 and 13, leading up to the preseason bout between the two squads on Aug. 15.
Training camp and preseason will be the first real chance to see how the Colts are looking before the season starts. That includes a look at new quarterback Carson Wentz.
Indianapolis Colts odds
With training camp in a few weeks, it’s worth taking another look at Indy’s futures odds.
Plenty of Hoosiers around the state love to bet on the Colts.
One of the biggest obstacles for the team this season will be winning the AFC South. The top of the division is incredibly competitive between the Colts and the Tennessee Titans.
Indiana’s online sportsbooks basically have the division odds as a toss-up between the two teams.
Indy’s Super Bowl odds could present some nice value, though.
The Colts are not one of the title favorites for next season, but that could change pretty quickly once the players start hitting the field.
Odds wise, Indianapolis is a few spots behind the real heavyweights.
Carson Wentz single-handedly has the opportunity to make the team’s odds skyrocket.
The Colts have one the best defenses in the NFL, but sportsbooks are hesitant to move the team up the odds list because of Wentz. He’s coming off of the worst year of his professional career.
If Wentz starts the season off strong, then the team’s odds will take a leap upwards. If you’re optimistic about him running the show this season, now could be the time to get in on the action.
Betting on the NFL awards
If you’re looking for Colts betting options that don’t involve the overall team’s performance, then DraftKings Indiana has you covered.
Betting on the Defensive Rookie of the Year award could be a fun option for Colts fans.
Defensive end Kwity Paye will be in the hunt for the award this year. Paye was Indy’s first round pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
- Micah Parsons: +500
- Jaelan Philips: +700
- Jamin Davis: +800
- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah: +800
- Kwity Paye: +1,000
Coach of the Year is another season award that the Colts might be in the running for.
Frank Reich is hoping to put the pieces of a title contender together this year.
The defense is there, but the offense could use a fresh look. He is hoping Carson Wentz will provide that.
If the team is winning the vast majority of its games, then that will certainly help Reich’s chances of winning Coach of the Year.
Regardless of what the team gets from Wentz, Reich is already one of the favorites to win the award.
- Brandon Staley: +1,300
- Brian Flores: +1,400
- Ron Rivera: +1,400
- Kyle Shanahan: +1,500
- Frank Reich: +1,500
Football season will be back before you know it.
