Caesars Spending Millions To Remodel Harrah’s Hoosier Park

Caesars Entertainment is pumping some major cash into an expansion for Harrah’s Hoosier Park casino. The company plans to spend nearly $40 million on the project.

The expansion will finish in July 2025 if everything goes according to plan.

Hoosier Park expansion

Hoosier Park is the latest casino in Indiana to receive a hefty remodel. Caesars is moving quickly to spice up the traditional gaming space at the property.

Before long, gamblers visiting Anderson will have some shiny new options for their night out.

Hoosier Park’s expansion will add about 30,000 square feet to the northwest side of the casino floor.

That will make space for 150 new slot machines and 16 table games. The upgrades will help put the casino on par with the rest of its competitors around the state.

Additionally, Hoosier Park will be adding a new high-limit area for gamblers to try out. The room will feature its own bar, slot machines and table games. Those upgrades will make the area one of the key parts of the remodel.

That’s already plenty of new features, but Caesars isn’t stopping there.

Hoosier Park’s expansion will also add a new-and-improved Caesars Rewards Center, a fresh look for the Pegasus trackside bar and a new quick-serve restaurant directly on the casino floor.

All of that comes hand in hand with more general cosmetic changes like new carpeting and architectural features.

Caesars prioritizing Indiana

Caesars has been opening its wallet to touch up its Hoosier State portfolio. The company owns Hoosier Park, Horseshoe Indianapolis and Horseshoe Hammond in Indiana.

About a year ago, Caesars began the process of expanding Horseshoe Indianapolis. The company spent about $32 million on that project.

In other words, Hoosier Park’s remodel will be even more extensive. Caesars COO Anthony Carano says that Hoosier Park’s expansion is the company doubling down on gambling in Indiana.

“The enhancements at Harrah’s Hoosier Park further exhibit Caesars Entertainment’s commitment to gaming in the state of Indiana. We’re committed to bringing the best in gaming to our Caesars Rewards destinations across the country. We are thrilled to unveil our exciting plans for the expansion of Harrah’s Hoosier Park. We’re confident these changes will benefit our guests and our Team Members.”

Hoosier Park and Horseshoe Indy are the only two horse racing casinos in the state. Since both spots are so important for Indiana’s gambling industry, Caesars is making sure that they don’t fall by the wayside.

The company has been investing in the horse racing sides of both properties, so it’s no surprise that the casino floors are also getting a touch-up.
