Sportsbooks Go Wild With Promotions For NFL Wild Card Weekend

Posted on January 6, 2021

The NFL Playoffs are here and the Indianapolis Colts will be in on the fun.

The team faces off against the Buffalo Bills this Saturday, Jan. 9. That game will be a part of the wild card round of the playoffs.

The league has dubbed the upcoming slate of games as “Super Wild Card Weekend.”

There will be three playoff games on both Saturday and Sunday. Until now, there’s never been more than two playoff games in a single day.

Colts-Bills will be the first game to kickoff on Saturday at 1:05 p.m.

Colts vs. Bills NFL Wild Card odds

The Bills are coming off of their first 13-win season since 1991, and they won’t be easy to take down in the playoffs.

Indy’s defense will have to step up if the Colts are going to come out on top. With DeForest Buckner and Darius Leonard running the show, that’s certainly a possibility.

At least for now, Indiana’s sportsbooks have the Bills as the favorites for Saturday’s matchup.

Colts prop bets for the NFL Playoffs

Prop bets are a fun way to gamble outside of the typical spreads, moneylines and point totals.

If you’re looking for something different, then prop betting could be a fun way to mix things up.

Right now, FanDuel has the widest selection of options when it comes to props for the Colts game.

For example, you can bet on the margin of victory for the matchup.

  • Colts to win by 1-6 points: +500
  • Colts to win by 7-12 points +1,000
  • Colts to win by 13-18 points: +1,800
  • Colts to win by 19-34 points: +3,800

Those odds go all the up to +10,000 for Indy to win by 43 points or more. Of course, those odds also cut the other way if you’re betting on Buffalo.

Betting on the number of field goals in the game is also available at FanDuel.

You can even break it down by either the first or second half. Right now, the over/under for total field goals in the second half of the Colts game is 1.5.

Whether or not the final score will be an even or odd number is also available for betting. Each of Indiana’s online betting apps likes to put their own unique twist on prop betting, so shop around a bit to see what peaks your interest.

DraftKings Wild card weekend no brainer

When it comes to promotions for the first slate of NFL playoff games, DraftKings has the hands-down best option.

The sportsbook is offering the latest edition of its “no brainer” bets. These are essentially massive odds boosts.

This time around, any team to score a touchdown during Wild Card Weekend is boosted from -10,000 to +100.

In other words, DraftKings users can double their money if any player for any team scores a touchdown this weekend. That’s an incredible value for bettors that presents virtually zero risk.

It’s also available for both new and existing users, so everyone can get in on the action.

There’s a $25 max wager for the promotion, so this no-brainer bet will win you $25 when someone inevitably scores a touchdown this weekend.

PointsBet no juice NFL playoff spreads

PointsBet Sportsbook’s “no juice” spreads are becoming a key feature of the operator’s promotional offers.

The deal boosts the payouts for this weekend’s NFL betting spreads to +100.

PointsBet is offering the no juice spreads on all of this weekend’s Wildcard action, including the Colts game. That’s a nice way to add a little value to your bets.

Spread betting is incredibly popular, so if you’re already planning on betting this weekend, then PointsBet might be the best home for you.

The boosted odds will become available starting this Friday, Jan. 8, so check back in a few days to place your bets.

More promotions will likely become available as we get closer to Super Wild Card Weekend, so if these don’t interest you, then check in with your favorite sportsbook leading up to Saturday afternoon.
