New Eleven Park Soccer Stadium Coming To Downtown Indianapolis

Posted on June 27, 2022

Indy Eleven finally has a location for its new soccer stadium. “Eleven Park” will occupy 20 acres of land in downtown Indianapolis.

The area will include a hotel, apartments, space for restaurants, and of course, a new 20,000-seat stadium.

Eleven Park could trigger a new wave of Indiana sports betting options.

Indy Eleven has been hoping to build a new stadium for years.

The team has swapped between playing at Lucas Oil Stadium and IUPUI’s field. Before long, Indy Eleven will finally have a home of its own.

A mix of funding and location issues delayed the process, but the team was finally able to acquire a chunk of land near the intersection of West Street and Kentucky Avenue.

Ersal Ozdemir, one of the team’s founders, is excited about what the future holds for the new area.

“We have been working diligently for the last several years to secure a large area of land downtown for Eleven Park, and with our prime location now secured we are eager to take the next steps for this groundbreaking development. This village will be a 365-day-a-year live, work, and play community that will transform this section of Indianapolis, providing jobs and significant economic development to downtown Indianapolis and surrounding areas.”

A stadium of its own also puts Indy Eleven in the mix for joining Major League Soccer at some point in the future.

Indianapolis has been hoping to join the MLS for some time. However, the city has never been seriously considered since Indy Eleven didn’t have a stadium to play in. That will finally change once Eleven Park is open for business in 2025.

The league has been consistently expanding over the years, and Indy Eleven might be able to join the fun at some point in the future.

Can you bet on Indy Eleven games?

Right now, Indy Eleven plays in the United Soccer League Championship Division.

Online sportsbooks are allowed to offer odds on the league’s games, but actually finding them is easier said than done. Due to a lack of interest from Hoosiers, betting apps aren’t likely to ever post odds for the games taking place.

The one exception to that is BetRivers, which has worked with Indy Eleven in the past. As the team’s official sportsbook partner, BetRivers would frequently feature odds for the team.

That might start to become more commonplace now that Eleven Park is on the way.

A new 20,000-seat stadium will attract plenty of attention, and more Indy locals will be attending the games in person. That could help spur a new wave of soccer betting interest in Indiana.

Betting on Indy Eleven games will become commonplace if the team ever joins the MLS. At the very least, Eleven Park will make it easier than ever to watch soccer games in the Hoosier State.
