Editor’s note: This story is updated with the news that Bally Bet in Indiana is a live sportsbook.

Bally Bet Indiana is officially live as of Thursday, Dec. 16.

On Dec. 10, the Indiana Gaming Commission announced the online sportsbook could launch as soon as Dec. 13. The wait is over.

Hoosiers sports bettors now have 13th legal online sportsbooks in Indiana from which to choose.

Bally Bet is also already available in Iowa, Colorado and Virginia.

The betting app is Indiana’s fourth new launch of 2021. Barstool Sportsbook, Betway and WynnBet all made their debuts in the state earlier this year.

Those new sportsbooks continue to help Indiana’s market growth.

Hoosiers wagered $463 million on sports during November. Bally Bet’s launch should help drive those numbers up even higher.

Bally Bet isn’t the only new sportsbook on its way to Indiana. The following companies are all planning to start taking bets in the state before long:

  • SI Sportsbook
  • fubo Sportsbook
  • PlayUp
  • betprophet
  • MaximBet
  • SBK Sportsbook

Sportsbooks have to team up with a casino partner before launching in Indiana. Bally Bet is working with Bally’s Casino Evansville.

Bally’s has been working on expanding its presence in Indiana.

If you like betting on the Indiana Pacers, then you’re probably already familiar with the Bally’s brand. Bally Sports Indiana is the local network that broadcasts all of the team’s games.

The company also recently purchased Tropicana Evansville from Caesars.

With a new owner comes a new name for the casino. Tropicana rebranded to “Bally’s Casino Evansville” back in October.

The sale is also mixing up the sportsbook operations at the property.

William Hill was previously working with Tropicana before it rebranded to Caesars Sportsbook. Caesars moved the sportsbook’s license over to Harrah’s Hoosier Park after the Tropicana sale.

The casino converted its in-person William Hill sportsbook into a Bally’s Sports Bar and Grill.

If you’re a regular at the property, expect a fresh coat of paint over everything.

The future is looking bright for Bally’s in the Hoosier State. Between Bally’s Sports Indiana, Bally’s Evansville and Bally Bet, the company will have a big presence in Indiana for years to come.
