Get ready for some Manning mania this NFL season.

Hall of Famer Peyton Manning is finally hopping into the broadcast booth this season with his brother Eli.

Networks have been trying to attract the former Indianapolis Colt since he retired back in 2016. As it turns out, he was just waiting for his brother to join the party.

The quarterback duo will be taking a swing at alternate Monday Night Football broadcasts on ESPN2.

Manning brothers tackle Monday Night Football

The Manning broadcast will be a little different than your typical play-by-play and color commentary experience.

The two are creating “a new MegaCast format” that they hope will be a fun way to mix things up for fans.

Both Mannings will be broadcasting live from a remote location. They’ll have former and current NFL players, as well as some celebrities join them throughout.

Fans will be able to watch the alternate broadcast for 10 games during each of the next three NFL seasons. You’ll also be able to bet on every game the brothers cover using Indiana online sportsbooks.

The duo will kick things off by broadcasting each of the first three Monday Night Football games during the upcoming season. ESPN hasn’t announced the other seven games on their schedule yet.

Will Peyton Manning broadcast a Colts game?

Adding Peyton Manning to a Colts game is basically a dream come true for fans. That could also be an interesting wrinkle for sports bettors that like to bet on the NFL.

However, having Manning on a Colts game might not be a realistic hope for this season.

The Manning brothers are only calling Monday Night Football games, and the Colts only have one on the schedule for the upcoming season. That will be Week 5 at Baltimore for those keeping track.

Peyton and Eli are already calling a Ravens game during Week 1, so they might not be super eager to put Baltimore in the limelight again so soon.

The duo is also only calling 10 games this season. Since they’re broadcasting the first three Monday Night Football games, they might pass on a Week 5 outing for the sake of spacing things out.

On the other side, broadcasting a Colts game might be enough to draw Peyton’s interest.

The five-time MVP has a lot of love for Indianapolis, and the game would likely be a popular one with all sorts of Colts fans tuning in. ESPN wouldn’t mind the ratings bump, so the network may end up asking the Manning brothers to broadcast Indy’s lone Monday Night Football appearance.

We’ll know more once the season gets underway and ESPN announces which games the brothers will tackle. Until then, Indy fans will be hoping to see Peyton in the broadcast booth for a Colts game.

Colts 2021 opening betting odds

The Manning news came just in time for a first look at Indy’s betting odds for the upcoming NFL season.

BetMGM and DraftKings IN both have Colts odds out for the majority of the team’s schedule.

That’s great for fans, since plenty of Hoosiers love wagering on the Colts.

These are just the opening odds, so they’ll change throughout the year leading up to games. It’s probably not worth throwing major money on these lines yet, but if you find odds that you think are way off, then that could be a good betting opportunity.

Right now, the Colts are favorites for nine of the 16 games that currently have early odds.

The Colts are underdogs for matchups against other solid teams like the Bills and the 49ers, which suggests that oddsmakers see Indy as more of a second-tier contender for now.
