WISH-TV Launching ‘All Indiana Bets’, Indiana’s First Sports Betting Show

Posted on March 25, 2021

WISH-TV is creating Indiana’s first sports betting show.

All Indiana Bets” will make its debut this August.

The venture will be Indiana’s first televised sports betting show and will primarily focus on Indiana sports teams.

WISH-TV’s “All Indiana Bets” focusing on Indiana teams

The show will cover Indiana’s sports betting craze from the perspective of the state’s teams.

Whether that’s the Pacers and Colts, or IU and Purdue, the show will be touching on all the sports action.

All Indiana Bets” will be a weekly endeavor, although the topics will depend on the day.

Every Saturday there will be a college sports show, with the focus switching over to professional teams every Sunday.

Those Saturday shows will help the crew cover college football teams such as Notre Dame. The Sunday editions will start in time for the next Colts season.

All of that is in addition to the special March Madness betting shows that will happen starting in March and April of 2022.

Jason Hammer and Scott Long will be hosting, and the show will also feature Entertainment Insider McKinzie Roth.

DuJuan McCoy, owner, president and CEO of WISH-TV’s parent company Circle City Broadcasting, is excited for this new venture.

“WISH-TV is committed to creating more unique programming and because of the growing popularity in sports betting, this new show is designed with Hoosiers in mind. ’All Indiana Bets’ will give sports betting enthusiasts in Indiana more information and expert insights to make better wagering decisions on their favorite Indiana teams.”

This is the first television program of its kind in Indiana, so WISH-TV is trying to get ahead of the curve here.

The show is hoping to tap into the growing pool of sports bettors in the Hoosier State.

Indiana sports betting growth

Indiana is one of the biggest sports betting markets in the entire country. That’s what’s helping make “All Indiana Bets” a reality.

Hoosiers have wagered over $2.8 billion on sports since betting began back in 2019. Over $273 million of those wagers were placed in February alone.

Five of the last six months have had a record-high number of wagers.

That growth is impressive, and it stands out even more considering sports betting’s expansion to the rest of the Midwest.

Indiana has been benefitting from out-of-state gamblers.

Since all it takes to place a bet from your phone is a quick trip over the state line, gamblers from nearby states have been making the drive.

Michigan and Illinois bringing sports betting into the fold has lowered the number of gamblers willing to make those trips.

Despite that, Indiana’s market is still holding strong.

Sports betting isn’t going anywhere, and WISH-TV is hoping to get in on the action.

There are other sports betting shows and podcasts out there, but no TV shows that focus specifically on Indiana’s teams.

Since “All Indiana Bets” is Indiana-focused, it will be able to make the most of its position as the first show of its kind in the state.
